ATP Tokyo: Ofner wrestles O'Connell at the start
With a strong fighting performance , Sebastian Ofner defeated the Australian Christopher O'Connell in three sets in the first round of the ATP 500 tournament.

The only encounter so far between Sebastian Ofner and Christopher O'Connell before today's match was not of much use in predicting the outcome. In the qualification in Atlanta 2021, the man from Graz had to give up in the first set when the score was 2:4, meaning the victory went to the Australian.
