For many, an absolute dream couple: Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas

For many, they are the new fairytale couple on the tennis world stage: Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa - also known as "Tsitsidosa" in fan circles - have been a heart and soul since the French Open in Paris. Sugar-sweet pictures of the two lovebirds appear again and again on various social media, most recently the two could even be admired in a live video on Instagram.

In said moving image, the two told how their relationship was before the relationship – namely practically non-existent. The Spaniard said: "I wondered what was wrong with him. He never said 'hi' to me. He walked past me without even looking at me, no 'hi', 'hello' or 'good morning' or whatever, nada, nothing."

The Greek admits: "She must have thought I was the most arrogant guy ever when I was just nervous and shy." In the meantime, however, everything has changed remarkably: "Now I say 'Hi' and I bring flowers, I'm trying to make it up to you."

Mutual attraction there from the start

Speaking earlier to Greek sports site SDNA, Tsitsipas offered insights into how the two lovers actually found each other: "It started in Rome with a message from me when she beat Ons Jabeur in the second round. I was watching the match and I liked the way she played and how she handled the situation against a really good clay court player like Ons is.Ons plays very intelligently, uses stop balls etc. I sent her congratulations and that's how it all started Story."

In reality, she was already a big fan of his and he was one of hers: "I also liked her character and her personality. It was mutual. It was supposed to happen, there were so many signs that it was quite normal, what has happened."
