As "The Sun" reports, citing sources inside the prison where Becker is being held, the three-time Wimbledon champion is to be subjected to a fast-track procedure. In Germany, the BILD newspaper was the first medium to take up this message. According to this, foreign offenders can have up to 135 days of their detention waived if they agree to be deported to their home country.
At the end of April, Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison by a London court for insolvency offenses. Since then, the now 54-year-old has been incarcerated in Huntercomb Penitentiary.
