Already at the beginning of 2022, the world's largest streaming provider Netflix made it public that a documentary series about our favorite sport was planned. The production team of the Formula 1 role model "Drive to Survive" promised unique insights behind the scenes of the ATP and WTA tour. Now the first teaser trailer of "Break Point" - as the series is called - has been released and it definitely makes you want more.
Although only about 35 seconds of image material can be viewed so far, the atmosphere created by the excerpts shown makes it difficult to wait patiently for the final start of the series, which is currently designed for a total of ten episodes.
Start is on January 13, 2023
Speaking of the start: there is already a date - or actually two, because the moving images are to be published on the platform in two tranches. The first five episodes will be available from January 13, 2023, and five more episodes will see the light of day in the summer of the same year.
Incidentally, the focus of the series should be more on the up-and-coming young stars than on the established superstars à la Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic. Félix Auger-Aliassime, for example, is certain that the series will be well received by the public: "I think it's going to be a good show and we've given them great material."
