When looking into Alexander Zverev's box in Qatar, you had to take a screenshot to be able to identify everyone in the Zverev entourage. A lot going on in the Zverev box lately - we reported.
But what was also noticeable: Brother Mischa was looked for in vain. As a man for all eventualities (manager, PR agent,...) he is actually at most tournaments with his little brother.
So where was Misha? The answer can be found far away from the big ATP tournaments. The answer lies in Tunisia. More precisely in Monastir. A coastal town in the south of the Gulf of Hammamet. There, Alexander's older brother served at an ITF tournament.
First he had to fight his way through three qualifying rounds and then won the first two rounds in the main draw with 6:2 and 6:2. In the quarter-finals he then clearly lost 2:6 and 0:6 against the Italian Fausto Tabacco. Whether it was a one-off trip back to tournament tennis or whether Mischa Zverev wants to play regularly for world ranking points again? Mischa Zverev has not yet commented on his plans. He is currently ranked 1508 in the world rankings. He definitely has enough room for improvement.
