It doesn't happen that often anymore that Philipp Oswald goes into a doubles competition as a tournament favorite. At the ATP Challenger event in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Poland, the time had come this week. And Oswald lived up to his favorite role alongside Robin Haase, in the end even very confidently. In the final, Haase/Oswald defeated Hugo Nys and Fabien Rebouil 6:3 and 6:4.
For Oswald it was the second title on the Challenger Tour within a few days. In Liberec, the Vorarlberger won together with Neil Oberleitner at the beginning of August. Things are generally going well with Robin Haase, who had already won the ATP Tour 500 event in Rotterdam in 2022 in doubles with Matwe Middelkoop: Oswald and Haase reached the final in Gstaad, and at least the semi-finals in Kitzbühel.
