Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic are still missing one win for their second joint triumph in Roland Garros. In 2016, the two French women had already won the women's doubles event at the Bois de Boulogne. The semi-final on Friday against Lyudmyla Kichenok from Ukraine and Jelena Ostapenko from Latvia had to be interrupted after the second set due to a rain shower. In the end, Garcia/Mladenovic prevailed 2:6, 6:4 and 6:2.
In the final it is up against Jessica Pegula and Coco Gauff from the USA, who beat their two compatriots Madison Keys and Taylor Townsend 6:4 and 7:6 (4). Gauff also has the chance to win the individual title on Saturday. The 18-year-old meets Iga Swiatek from Poland.
