Match of the day: Victoria Azarenka vs. Mirra Andreeva (fourth match after 11am on Court 14)

One of the few remaining major winners against an up-and-coming professional who is not lacking in self-confidence. And who has remarkable game intelligence. Will that be enough against the power of Azarenka? And what if Andreeva slips up again like she did last year in Paris and Wimbledon? That's never well received by the public. And certainly not by the French. But you can't expect any chewing gum in the direction of the two athletes.

We are curious about this: David Goffin vs. Alexander Zverev (third match after 11 a.m. on Court Suzanne-Lenglen)

Firstly, from a sporting perspective. Zverev is leading 3-2 in the head-to-head against Goffin, and is full of confidence after his success in Rome and his victory against Rafael Nadal in the first round. But Goffin showed a resilience in the first round against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (also towards the crowd) that was reminiscent of the Belgian's best times before his many injuries.

Upset alert: Flavio Cobolli vs. Holger Rune (third match after 11am on Court 14)

These crazy young Italians. Pampered by their own association with countless wildcards for clay challengers, they are fearlessly playing their way up the world rankings. Some are way up (Sinner!), some are a little lower (like Cobolli, who is currently ranked 53rd). Holger Ruud's standards are higher. But it's not as if the number 13 of the 2024 French Open has been playing out of the blue in recent weeks...

German is spoken: Ofner, Marterer, Squire, Misolic, Korpatsch in action

Well, if the weather holds, it will be very varied. Sebastian Ofner will play against Sebastian Baez (Court 3) at 11 a.m., as will Henri Squire against Félix Auger-Aliassime (Court 9) and Maxi Marterer against Zizou Bergs (Court 5). Jan-Lennard Struff will play his third match against Alexander Bublik there, while Filip Misolic will play his third match against Francisco Cerundolo on Court 4. Tamara Korpatsch will face Qinwen Zheng in her third match on Court 3. There will also be a doubles match. Let's see...
