From June 9th to 11th, 2023, padel will be the focus of the Active City Arena in Hamburg for a weekend. The best padel teams then meet in a men's and women's competition. In Hamburg, a field of 16 is played in knockout mode for the men, while the women compete in a field of 8. In both competitions there is a wild card to qualify for the World Padel Tour event in Düsseldorf, where the international top will serve.
The event in the Hanseatic city is a novelty for the German Padel Tour. For the first time, a tournament of the German Padel Tour Open Air will take place in a stadium. The facility can accommodate up to 1,200 spectators, which will ensure a special atmosphere.
On Friday, June 9th, the men's field starts at 2 p.m. with the round of 16 matches. One day later, the tournament also begins for the women, who will hold their quarter-finals from 12 noon. The decisions will be made on Sunday, when the semi-finals will take place from 10:30 a.m. and the finals in the late afternoon. The facilities open one hour before the start of the game. Admission is free on all days.
