Hua Hin: Magda Linette defeats Leonie Küng in the final
Magda Linette won the WTA International tournament in Hua Hin (Thailand). In the final, she beat Swiss Leonie Küng 6: 3, 6: 2.

For Linette, this was the third tournament win at WTA level. The 28-year-old was in 5th position in Hua Hin and gave only one set in the course of the tournament. Linette, currently ranked 42nd in the WTA ranking, will take a new top position in the world rankings next week, in the current live ranking she will be ranked 33rd. She also takes $ 43,000 with her.
Küng improves by almost 150 places
Despite the defeat in the final, a dream week comes to an end for Leonie Küng. From qualification, she had played her way into the main field. She then won her first peloton match on the WTA tour - and finally came to the final after winning against Lin Zhu, Qiang Wang and Nao Hibino. She will improve significantly from 283th place, to 155th in the current live ranking. Her prize money for the final: US $ 21,400.
The 19-year-old was in the final of the Wimbledon junior tournament in 2018, but then had to contend with severe health problems .
The double competition was won by Arina Rodionova and Storm Sanders from Australia. The duo in position 4 beat the Austrian-Australian combination Barbara Haas and Ellen Perez 6: 3, 6: 3.
