The main stage at Tennis Paradise in Indian Wells belonged to the women on Tuesday evening: Aryna Sabalenka , Simona Halep , Naomi Osaka, Maria Sakkari, Paula Badosa, Leylah Fernandez, Ons Jabeur and Amanda Anisimova matched in a blitz tournament in which only a tie-break to ten has been played.

In the end, the "title" went to Anisimova, who had delivered a small surprise at the Australian Open by beating Osaka. Anisimova won the final against Sakkari 10:7. The brevity of the matches would suit her, the 20-year-old explained after the final. But to strike a more serious note. She will donate a portion of her $150,000 prize money to Ukraine Aid. “Every day brings extremely sad news. We're here and we're enjoying it, but it's not easy."

Incidentally, the proceeds from the event on International Women's Day went to local organizations that campaign for women's concerns.
