Roger Federer could probably market pretty much anything. Thanks to manager Tony Godsick, among other things, the maestro doesn't do that. It is selected brands that Federer advertises, mostly in the long term.

Although a lot has come together in the meantime. Federer's advertising partners include Barilla, Credit Suisse Group (ADS), JURA, Lindt & Sprüngli, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Mercedes-Benz, NetJets, On, RIMOWA, Rolex, Sunrise Communications AG, Switzerland Tourism, Uniqlo and Wilson. /

He recently shot another great spot for Switzerland Tourism , and in general there is little to worry about the livelihood of the 20-time major champ. As the financial experts from Forbes have just calculated these days , Federer has earned around 95 million US dollars in the past twelve months, just 0.1 million of them through tennis - from his appearance at the Laver Cup. Which is ultimately also a Federer product.

Federer: Inspired by Tom Cruise

And 2024: Federer is now doing it in sunglasses. He announced this via Twitter. His iconic "RF" logo, the rights to which he got back from Nike after a long period of problems, is now to adorn sunglasses from 2024, specifically those from Oliver Peoples.

He was inspired by the 2000 film Mission Impossible II , when Tom Cruise's sun glasses destroyed themselves - "iconic", said Federer in an interview with GQ .

Federer pragmatic: "Sit tight on your head"

If possible, his glasses should not be destroyed, on the contrary. "I'm always on the go with my four kids. These frames have to fit snugly on the head and not fall off at the first twitch," he explained.

"Whether it's the way he behaves in all situations or his clear, articulate vision of what classic style can mean, Roger fits the Oliver Peoples ethos perfectly," says CEO Rocco Basilico of the collaboration.

The summer of 2024 can come with it. Stop next year.
