While the Italian Davis Cup team is preparing for the Davis Cup finals in Malaga these days, the country's number one is currently staying in their adopted home of Monte Carlo. Jannik Sinner has resumed training after his finger injury and is already preparing for the coming season in the Principality. This is shown by pictures on social media.

According to this, Sinner will be in the world rankings 1299 by Wednesday. Train Massimo Giunta to gradually get back into the rhythm. The South Tyrolean played his last game so far on October 31 in Paris-Bercy, where he clearly lost in two sets to Marc-Andrea Hüsler from Switzerland.

Sinner ended the season in 15th place

Sinner will end the year ranked 15th in the world with a record of 47 wins and 16 losses. Last year he was still in tenth place at the end of the year. In 2022, however, the 21-year-old had to deal with bad luck with injuries .

Sinner will open the new season in Adelaide. The South Tyrolean will therefore not compete in the United Cup. The first big highlight in the coming year will again be the Australian Open. The starting signal for the Grand Slam tournament in Melbourne will be on January 16, 2023.
