First of all, Jiri Lehecka qualified for the semifinals with a 4:3 (5), 4:1 and 4:3 (4) against Matteo Arnaldi. After that, it was enough for Brandon Nakashima to win the first set against Francesco Passaro to reserve a place in the semifinals. However, Nakashima won the entire match 4:3, 4:2 and 4.1 and advanced to the semi-finals as the undefeated group winner.
