It was not a pretty picture to watch tennis legend Boris Becker in recent years. The man who won Wimbledon at the age of 17, was the best-known tennis player on earth at times, did not lose a ball and, in case of doubt, unpacked his "Becker-Pike" ... and now, with 50 Lenzen, he could hardly walk normally.

Too much ambition in the show matches after his career would have ruined his ankle, Becker had once explained, and the moving pictures in the first production Boris Becker - The player who was on TV a year ago were not nice to look at : Becker on his way home from Paris, limping ... Becker before another ankle operation ... and a Swiss doctor who was amazed at how Becker was still able to walk with his findings.
Shortly thereafter, however, improvement: The operation had brought something, Becker announced - and yesterday's pictures from Frankfurt, from the run-up to the Davis Cup match against Hungary, delight the tennis heart of his fans: Becker was back on the court here, a few Blows from a standing position at least seem possible again.
Will there be more possible for "Head of Men's Tennis" in Germany in the future? We keep our fingers crossed!
