Novak Djokovic - Olympia 2024 as final refinement?
Novak Djokovic is still missing an Olympic gold medal in his collection. That's one of the reasons why he already took a look towards Paris 2024 on the sidelines of the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai.

Novak Djokovic seems to dominate tennis these days at will. And so also has time to chat about other things than the tournament events in Dubai. After his round of 16 success over Tallon Griekspoor, the 22-time Grand Slam winner talked about the 2024 Olympics in Paris, among other things.
"I'm looking forward to the Olympic Games," Djokovic said. "I hope to be able to play healthy at the Paris Olympics next year." The 35-year-old is still missing a gold medal in his crazy collection of titles. In any case, the yield with "only" one bronze (Beijing 2008) is comparatively manageable.
Zverev too strong in Tokyo
How important the Olympic Games are to Djokovic has been shown in the recent past. After losing to Juan Martin del Potro in Rio in 2016, the Serb left the pitch in tears, five years later he even jeopardized the Grand Slam for his gold company. Djokovic was not rewarded for this, as Alexander Zverev proved to be too strong in the semifinals.
In 2024, the man who shattered Djokovic's dream in 2008 could become the spoilsport of all people: Rafael Nadal. Because the tennis competition is held on sand in Roland Garros. There, where the Spaniard has already received the French Open trophy 14 times. Djokovic wants to rise to the challenge: "I hope to get my best Olympic result there." He probably doesn't mean silver.
