The sporting qualities of the Korda family are varied. Last weekend, father Petr and his children Nelly and Sebastian showed up at a golf tournament. And got to know Tiger Woods there.

Sebastian Korda has to step up if he wants to catch up with his father Petr and sister Nelly. Mr Papa won the Australian Open in 1998 and made it to second place in the ATP world rankings. Nelly Korda, on the other hand, won the gold medal in golf at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. A discipline with which Petr Korda also has a great passion (as well as ice hockey, by the way).
So it comes as no surprise that Korda Senior and his daughter took part in a celebrity-ridden golf tournament, the PNC Championships, last weekend. And who did the Kordas have in tow as a caddy, at least for a few holes? Sebastian, of course, who is now at number 41 in the ATP charts (here, too, there is a lot of catching up to do: Nelly Korda leads the LPGA ranking).
Woods family in second place
With all the sporting merits of the Korda family, the star of the weekend was certainly Tiger Woods, who tied off with his son Charlie. Woods is still recovering from the aftermath of a car accident, whether he will ever play on the PGA tour again is unclear.
In any case, Nelly Korda took the opportunity to ask the most famous golfer of the last two decades for a selfie. And take the opportunity to introduce her brother.
He was really enthusiastic about the encounter with Woods. “He was so nice,” said Sebastian Korda. “Tiger is probably the favorite athlete in our family. Whenever he plays a tournament, we sit excitedly in front of the TV. ”In the end, the sporting result was a minor matter. Nelly and Petr Korda finished the tournament in twelfth place, Tiger and Charlie Woods also had to be satisfied with second place. John Daly and his son John II won the race.
