A statement in an interview came across a bit wrong.

"Rafael is not a tennis player. He is an injured person who plays tennis," Toni Nadal said to El Paisa few weeks ago. This obviously did not go down well with the second in the world rankings.
"He apologized to me. He came on the pitch - and he was sorry," said the "Taurus from Manacor" in Monte Carlo . Toni said it was positive because he had had so many injuries, said Nadal. "He wanted to appreciate that."
His uncle is a speaker for many companies, "if you talk a lot sometimes you make mistakes," said Rafa. "This is normal. I make mistakes, everyone does it." Uncle Toni had to watch the semi-finals of his nephew on Saturday in Monte Carlo from a place of honor.
He put it a little over-dramatically, Nadal said. "If you are number 1 or 2 in the world, you can hardly be that as an injured person. Of course I have more problems than almost all of my opponents, but I've always managed to do it well," said the 32-year-old.
