Even if there weren't many days for Stefanos Tsitsipas in which the Greek was able to adapt to the new conditions at the ATP 500 event in Rotterdam, the changeover shouldn't pose too much of a problem for the young Greek. The reason for this is provided by the 23-year-old himself: "I think I'm a player who can adapt wonderfully to all surfaces," explained the fourth in the world rankings in the Netherlands.

Despite this ability, he would still need a little more game practice to fully adjust to the new situation. "I trained very little under these conditions. I will need more time to adapt to this surface," said Tsitsipas, who meets Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina in lap one.

Tsitsipas does not see himself as a rubber specialist

A player that Tsitsipas is warned about anyway: "Davidovich is a player who works very well under this surface. It's true that he hasn't reached his best level for a few months, but I know very well that he's a has great potential," explained the Greek. "I know I have to keep an eye on him in the first round. I played against him in Monte Carlo last year and I know what he's capable of."

In any case, the 23-year-old is certain that he does not want to see himself as an absolute specialist for a certain surface: "I don't want to be the typical player who is only good on one surface. I have good results on clay, hard court and scored indoors," said the fourth in the world rankings in the run-up to the Rotterdam tournament. "It's true that I still need to improve a little on grass, but it's a surface I've only had a few weeks of competition on. I feel like I can play on all surfaces equally well."
