The past ten years have seen many thrilling matches. Especially at the Grand Slam level, the gentlemen of creation showed their skills again and again, giving fans numerous unforgettable games - Tennis.com has now listed the best matches in a list.

10th place: Roger Federer vs. Nick Kyrgios, Miami HF 2017

Federer came to Miami confidently after his success at the Australian Open and in Indian Wells. In the semi-finals, Nick Kyrgios should demand everything from him in spite of his outstanding form, finally the Swiss prevailed after more than three hours of play in the tiebreak of the third set. The next day, Federer was even supposed to win the Florida title by beating Rafael Nadal.

9th place: Rafael Nadal vs. Novak Djokovic, French Open HF 2013

Novak Djokovic had never been so close to winning against Rafael Nadal at the French Open. In the fifth set, the Serb already led with Break before he touched the net at 4: 3, 40:40 and then gave up the serve. Djokovic should not recover from this, Nadal prevailed with 9: 7 in the fifth set and then secured the new tournament victory in Paris.

8th place: Juan Martin del Potro vs. Marin Cilic, Davis Cup F 2016

Marin Cilic could have made the Davis Cup win for Croatia clear with a win over Juan Martin del Potro. However, things should turn out completely differently: Del Potro turned the game after 2: 2 set deficit and forced a fifth encounter, in which Federico Delbonis easily defended against Ivo Karlovic and thus conceded the victory for Argentina.

7th place: Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal, Wimbledon HF 2018

The Wimbledon semi-final between Djokovic and Nadal was hard to beat in terms of excitement. The match took place over two days and took place under closed roof on the second day despite the sunshine. In the end, "Nole" asserted itself with 6: 4, 3: 6, 7: 6 (9), 3: 6 and 10: 8 and laid the foundation stone for his fourth success in the classic breed.

6th place: John Isner vs. Nicolas Mahut, Wimbledon 1st round 2010

This part was not recorded in the history books because of its quality, but rather because of its length. John Isner and Nicolas Mahut dueled an incredible eleven hours and five minutes (spread over three days), after which the American won 70:68 (!!!) in the fifth set.

5th place: Rafael Nadal vs. Dominic Thiem, US Open VF 2018

Every Austrian tennis fan will remember Dominic Thiem's devious Smash at 6: 5 for Rafael Nadal in the tie-break of the decisive fifth round. Previously, the two had fought a brutal fight for wear and tear, Thiem had even distributed the maximum sentence in the first sentence. As so often in the end it was Nadal who was "The last man standing".

4th place: Roger Federer vs. Rafael Nadal, Australian Open F 2017

The Australian Open final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal only made it onto the list to a limited extent because of its quality, but most likely because of its enormous importance for tennis. Probably the two best players in history had only entered the tournament as outsiders after injury breaks, but both played to the finals. In the fifth set, Federer turned a break behind and won 6: 4, 3: 6, 6: 1, 3: 6 and 6: 3.

3rd place: Novak Djokovic vs. Stan Wawrinka, Australian Open AF 2013

Purely from a playful point of view, the Australian Open round of 16 between Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka in 2013 probably cannot match any other game. The two fought until 1:40 a.m. local time, after which Stan the Man spoke of the "probably best match" of his career. However, Djokovic remained victorious, triumphing 1: 6, 7: 5, 6: 4, 6: 7 (5) and 12:10 and shortly after winning the title.

2nd place: Novak Djokovic vs. Rafael Nadal, Australian Open F 2012

After suffering seven losses at a time against Novak Djokovic in 2011, Rafael Nadal set out to end this series in the 2012 Australian Open final. The Spaniard was well on his way to his second success at Melbourne Park, but lost a break in the fifth set in an almost six-hour fight and watched Novak Djokovic celebrate his third victory in the first Grand Slam tournament of the year.

1st place: Novak Djokovic vs. Roger Federer, Wimbledon F 2019

8: 7, 40:15. For every fan of Roger Federers, these numbers are likely to have burned themselves into the memory forever. The Swiss found two match balls at his own serve exactly at this stand, but awarded them and lost the game despite superiority in almost all relevant statistics. 7: 6 (5), 1: 6, 7: 6 (4), 4: 6, 13:12 (3) was the end result from Novak Djokovic's perspective.
