"Time" Magazine: Iga Swiatek one of the 100 most influential people
The world number one Iga Swiatek made it into the famous "The 100 Most Influental People of 2023" list of the legendary Time Magazine.

Swiatek is represented by other prominent athletes, including Lionel Messi, Brittney Griner and Mikaela Shiffrin - who in turn wrote the praise for Swiatek .
"When Iga Swiatek plays tennis, three things come to mind: beauty, power and truth," Shiffrin said. "Throughout her rise to the top of tennis - and to the top of the sport - Iga has shown vulnerability and courage. She tirelessly strives to improve her game. She gives credit to everyone who has supported her, without compromising on her own skills and to neglect their work." Swiatek also campaigned for mental health and supported the Ukrainians in their fight to protect their homeland. As an athlete and, more importantly, as a person, she embodies the kind of confidence that everyone should emulate - the confidence of doing over just talking.
Shiffrin also emphasized her rise to the top of the world rankings with limited financial resources. Swiatek has inspired an entire nation and shown the next generation that they too can achieve incredible things. Swiatek also shows that it's okay to be disappointed - and also to be proud of yourself. "When Iga steps onto the pitch, she has her eyes firmly on the ball and doesn't take her eyes off it."
Swiatek has her eye on the ball this week in Stuttgart, where she is at the start of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix as the defending champion.
