30-year-old Carolina Garcia can secure first place in the category of most aces among female players with 462 aces in 64 games. The Frenchwoman, currently ranked 20th, had a mixed season with some unused opportunities, which is why she was unable to win a title on the 2023 WTA Tour. However, she made it to the quarterfinals nine times on all three surfaces. She achieved her best results in Lyon, Monterrey and Guadalajara, where she reached the semi-finals. Garcia had her career high in 2018 when she was ranked number four in the world.
Rybakina is just behind Garcia
In second place among the most beaten aces is Elena Rybakina, currently fourth in the world rankings. The 2022 Wimbledon winner hit 455 aces in 60 matches, seven fewer than Caroline Garcia. The Kazakh can look forward to a successful season and was able to secure the title at the two WTA 1000 tournaments in Indian Wells and Rome. She also reached the finals of the Australia Open and Miami Open.
Sabalenka can hand over the position of the most double faults
World number two Aryna Sabalenka reached third place in the most hit aces category with 404 aces in 69 games. At the same time, the 25-year-old Belarusian made 285 double faults and is in fourth place this season in this category. However, she was able to improve significantly compared to last year, as she served almost twice as many double faults in 2022.
The US Open finalist Sabalenka was also named this year's Australian Open winner and was able to secure first place in the women's rankings for the first time thanks to her tournament victories in Adelaide and Madrid, but then had to give up her position again to Inga Swiatek.
Iga Swiatek ends the 2023 season as number one in the world, but was unable to secure a top 20 spot in the most aces category.
