WTA Cincinnati: Jil Teichmann extends sensational run against Belinda Bencic
Jil Teichmann is still unstoppable at the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati. In the quarter-finals, the 24-year-old won the Swiss duel against the reigning Olympic champion Belinda Bencic in two sets.

This is how you can use a wildcard! The world rankings-76. Jil Teichmann reached the semifinals at the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati thanks to a two-set success over Belinda Bencic. The 24-year-old only needed 71 minutes to fix the 6: 2 and 6: 3 success. Thus, Olympic champion Bencic suffered another defeat after nine victories in a row.
"I felt good from the start. I served well and went into the short balls early. I defended well. I moved well. I think everything worked out for me today," said Teichmann, who in the round had previously triumphed over the four-time Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka, after the match.

In the semifinals, the Swiss will now face Karolina Pliskova. The Czech profited from an injury-related task (shoulder) of her Spanish opponent in her quarter-final against Paula Badosa with a score of 7: 5 and 2: 0.
In the semifinals of the upper half of the table, Angelique Kerber and Ashleigh Barty will face each other .
