WTA Dubai: Siegemund loses its opening match

The 33-year-old German number two lost to Russian Anastasia Potapova 3: 6, 2: 6. On Monday lunchtime, the three-time Grand Slam winner Angelique Kerber (Kiel) is challenged against the French Caroline Garcia.
Siegemund, who was the French Open quarter-finalist last year, is waiting for a top result in 2021. At the Australian Open, she failed in the first round against the 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams, and last week she made it to the second round in Doha as a qualifier.
