Garbine Muguruza will only return to the WTA Tour in the summer. If any.

Traditionally, women tennis players only refrain from tour events if they are unfortunate, injured or, very happily, expecting a child. As far as is known about Garbine Muguruza, neither is the case. The Spaniard, who won Roland Garros in 2016 and won Wimbledon a year later, simply took a break because the pressure in professional tennis was too great for her.
And the absence seems to do Muguruza good. “I spent time with family and friends. And that was really healthy and great," wrote the 29-year-old on social media. "That's why I'm going to extend this phase into the summer. And so I will miss the clay and grass season.”
Earlier this year, Muguruza said in an interview that she had put too much pressure on herself over the past year. She wants to avoid making this mistake this season.
There is no need to worry about Garbine Muguruza, at least in financial terms: In her career she has brought in almost 25 million US dollars in prize money alone.
