For Kasatkina it was the second title in a few weeks after the tournament success in San Jose. In the Granby final she had few problems with Daria Kasatkina at 6:4 and 6:4. Overall, Daria Kasatkina now has six career titles.
Liudmila Samsonova in Cleveland ensured the second Russian triumph of the day. Samsonova won the final against Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6:1 and 6:3. It was the tenth match win for the 23-year-old in a row. A few weeks ago, Samsonova won the tournament in Washington.
