WTA Linz: Barbara Haas with partner Xenia Knoll in the double final

Sensational success for Austria's women's tennis: The 23-year-old Upper Austrian Barbara Haas reached the double final at the WTA tournament in Linz with her Swiss partner Xenia Knoll on Saturday evening.

The semi-final match between Haas / Knoll and the US duo Coco Gauff / Catherine McNally was hard to beat in terms of drama. Haas / Knoll won the first set 7: 6, lost the second set clearly 1: 6. The champions tie-break was rich in remarkable rallies and swept the crowd towards cheers. Haas / Knoll finally turned the second match ball into an 11: 9 success. The opponents of Haas / Knoll in the final, which takes place after the individual final (starting at 2 p.m.), are the Czech Barbora Krejcikova / Katerina Siniakova.

The semi-final day was a huge public success. The rush to the TipsArena was so great that standing tickets had to be put on. An enormous number of visitors can also be expected on the final day on Sunday.
