Naomi Osaka had a decisive advantage this year to polish her hard court record: She wasted no strength on other surfaces - she only had to play a Fed Cup game in February on clay, where she lost straight to Sara Sorribes Tormo. After the Corona break: The 23-year-old got off to a flying start, made it to the final at the Cincinnati tournament (where she did not appear due to an injury) and won the US Open. A win rate of 88.9 percent on hard court - strong!
Simona Halep follows in second place with only twelve matches, ten of them successful. Before Ash Barty, who only played four tournaments (before the Corona break), won one (Adelaide) and made it to the semi-finals at the Australian Open.
Interesting: The player with the most wins, Elise Metens (at 25), is only listed in eleventh place, she also suffered nine defeats. And Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin is "only" twelfth, with 18 wins and 7 losses.
