WTA Palermo: Irina-Camelia Begu wins her fifth WTA title
Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu , who was ranked sixth at the WTA Tour 250 tournament in Palermo, defeated local hero Lucia Bronzetti in two sets in the final.

The Austrian cult band EAV sang about the hot nights in Palermo 36 years ago. The Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu quickly won her fifth title on the WTA Tour after Tashkent 2012, Seoul 2015, Florianopolis 2016 and Bucharest 2017. The 31-year-old from Bucharest defeated Lucia Bronzetti after 1:32 hours of play with two 6s :2. The 23-year-old local hero has to wait for her first full success on the big women's tour.
