WTA Palermo: Out for Julia Grabher in round one
For Julia Grabher, who was eighth, the tournament was already over after the first encounter at the WTA event in Palermo.

After losing the first round in Wimbledon against American Danielle Collins, Grabher returned to the sand at the WTA tournament in Sicily.
Grabher lost to Clara Burel from France in two sets 4:6, 5:7. Right at the beginning of the match, the Austrian gave up her serve and was quickly 0:3 behind. Grabher then fought his way into the game and caught up with the rebreak. But both players couldn't really stabilize themselves. After exchanging several breaks, Burel won the first set.
In the second round, Grabher was able to win the first break again, but then again found no stability in his own service. But Burel also gave her opponent another chance to stay in the match. In the end, Grabher served against the loss of the match at a score of 5:6 and could not withstand the pressure. After 1:38 hours, Burel was able to book the ticket for the next round.
