Julia Grabher is on the verge of her greatest career success. Because the woman from Vorarlberg prevailed in the semifinals of the WTA Tour 250 tournament in Rabat after an amazing comeback against the Argentinian Julia Riera 6: 1, 1: 6 and 7: 6 (6). Riera contested her first tournament on the WTA tour in Rabat - and was already leading 3-1 in the third set. But Grabher fought back and decided the match after a playing time of 2:19 hours.
After her opening win against Ysaline Bonaventure, Grabher prevailed against Cagla Buyukakcay in the round of 16. In the quarter-finals, the Austrian benefited from the task of tournament favorite Martina Trevisan. With the entry into the final, Grabher also has a new career high: She will move up to at least position 60 in the WTA charts.
In tomorrow's final it is either against the Italian Lucia Bronzetti or the second seeded Sloane Stephens.
