Grabher made a remarkable comeback against Argentina's Julia Riera in the semifinals, eventually winning the tiebreak of the third set. Bronzetti, on the other hand, only let Sloane Stepehsn win two games.
In terms of world rankings, Julia Grabher is the slight favourite. De Vorarlbergerin is currently still in 74th place, Bronzetti is in 102nd place.
